Position Summary

This professional position supports the global rewards team in analysis and execution of programs and policies related to retirement.

Accountabilities

Functional Knowledge: Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in compensation programs plans and basic knowledge of equity plans administration for a publicly traded company

Business Expertise: Has knowledge of best practices and how the compensation area integrates with others (rewards, benefits, global mobility, etc); is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Leadership: Leads team and vendors to execute global compensation strategy

Problem Solving: Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advance analytical thought and judgement

Impact: Impacts results of Global responsibilities by providing support to impact the company

Guided by Rewards and HR strategy

Interpersonal Skills: Negotiates with and influences others internally and externally; including senior executives within the company and vendors/or regulators

Specific Accountabilities

Compensation responsibilities for global salaried positions including:
* Responsible to ensure pay competitiveness and balance internal equity within the global pay structure.
* Conduct job evaluations, market benchmarking and job pricing with local HRBPs and ensure alignment with global compensation structure.
* Collaborate with HR Services to execute year-end processes execution (merit increases, LTI and STI) and serve as subject matter expert for compensation programs

Responsible for communication

  • Ensure access to robust market data through participation in local salary and benefits surveys and participate in industry Rewards Forums where we have scale to keep updated with relevant external insights and trends.
  • Drive pay for performance by formulating and implementing global equity processes.
  • Equity survey participation
  • Assist in execution internally and coordinate with transactional team on vendor management.
  • Help drive sales performance by providing expertise support on local Sales Incentive Plan review/design
  • Compensation compliance (FLSA in the US, pay equity in Canada, etc.)
  • Partner with other team members to develop education/communication materials on the above global programs and reward fundamentals
  • Perform necessary compensation analytics to help ROI on rewards $ and leverage on analytics to help the business make performance driven decisions.
  • Governance as it relates to the programs noted above.
  • Responsibilities may include global mobility and recognition
  • May also perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong Presentation skills - verbal communication
  • 4-7 years of work specializing in rewards, compensation and HRMS within a complex, multi-site organization
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong project planning, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work across cultures
  • Flexibility on work schedule to work with international colleagues and vendors when required
  • Good time management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize own workload
  • Able to work to a high level of accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of total rewards programs is preferred
