SB Operations Analyst Job Summary


Salary Range: $50,170 - $57,696 - $65,221
The SB Operations Analyst (OA) is responsible for supporting the enablement, development, and optimization of processes and capabilities within the small business segment. This role supports improvement and development of process optimization, operational quality control, and third party date enrichment solutions. The OA supports operations managers through the analysis of new business processes and refinement of existing business processes. Executes quality control support, business configuration publishing, and business process documentation maintenance. The OA also supports the advancement of business capabilities through: research and experimentation with new tools and vendor products; continuous process improvement; development and improvement of tools and resources, and advancements in automation.

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)
1. Responsible for supporting the enablement, development, and optimization of processes and capabilities within the segment in direct support of the process optimization, automation and controls, and vendor products.
2. Analyzes and leverages risk insights, data, advanced analytics, performance of products and lines of business, identification of trends to support informed decisions regarding third party data, business processes and automation. (moved up)
3. Supports the advancement in business capabilities through the following: (moved up)
* Researches and experiments with new tools and vendor products.
* Continuous process improvement
* Development and improvement of operational quality control solutions
4. Supports improvement and development of process optimization, automation and control, and third party product integration solutions.
5. Develops and tests tools, programs, resources, and processes that enable efficient and effective improvements in business capabilities.
6. Schedules, deploys, and publishes various solutions.

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science, or commensurate experience. (moved up)
2. 1 year of experience working, internship, and/or combination of both in leveraging one or more of the following office automation solutions: Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SQL, and/or scripting (e.g. PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript).
3. Working knowledge of data analysis, database concepts, data transformation, business intelligence, and report generation tools with structured and unstructured data.
4. Experience with application development processes.
5. Conceptual knowledge of multiple application architectures.
6. Experience in defining and developing processes.
7. Basic understanding of Six Sigma or other techniques and tools for process improvement.
8. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
9. Ability to analyze problems and perform basic financial analysis.
10. Strong initiative and work management skills. 
11. Experience with word processing, presentation, Internet, spreadsheet, and other standard office automation software packages.
12. Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

* Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing and working on a computer for extended periods of time).
* Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as:  telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
* Ability to travel as required.
* Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
