The Manager, Human Resources Custom Operations and Packaging Center will be a true HR Business Partner and help drive the priorities, resources and talent to deliver on the strategic objectives. In this role, you will lead and manage a broad range of HR initiatives for Custom operations and Packaging Center including; Employee relations, Performance management, Staffing/Recruitment, Talent Management, and Organizational Development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take a proactive approach to anticipate, assess and provide HR solutions to business needs with guidance as needed from HR Director.
  • Provide counsel and direction to associates and management on a wide variety of employee relations issues.
  • Conduct investigations and determine appropriate disposition on all matters related to performance management, conflict management, HR policy, employment law, or formal complaints. Provide timely and effective advice on all HR related matters while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Lead hourly staffing and recruitment efforts for Custom and Packaging operations. Strategize with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team to determine appropriate staffing and hiring requirements. Conduct interviews and evaluate candidates with hiring managers.
  • Work with Compensation to determine appropriate salary recommendations. Assure the onboarding process for new associates is provided at all levels within the organization.
  • Support the development and implementation of talent management initiatives and programs
  • Partner with Managers and Team Leaders to identify and address associate development needs and facilitate annual performance review process.
  • Assure integrity and data accuracy of the Human Resource information system.
  • Partner with other HR functional areas to administer, implement and address HR programs, services and benefits to associates. Provide on-site leadership in the implementation and administration of programs, and coordinates associate communication.
  • Assure pre-placement protocols are effectively administered, monitor MLOA's, light duty accommodations and return to work status.
  • Consult with Centers of Excellence (COEs) in development and communication of Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition and Health/Safety.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. SHRM or other HR certifications a plus.
  • 8 years' experience as a HR Generalist with multi-site responsibility within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Oracle HCM System or other cloud based Human Resource information systems is required.
  • Working knowledge of all employment and labor laws and proven ability to successfully manage employee relations and high volume recruiting
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with internal and external partners, furthering a team spirit and driving success as "we"

  • Demonstrated success and resiliency operating in an industry and/or organization facing rapid change.
