Purpose of Position-

TheFranchising& Business DevelopmentManager facilitates and drives the Market Plan strategy bycreating growth opportunities for DBI by sellingnewStore Development Agreements (SDA)to qualifiednew and existingfranchisees,maximizingexisting stores,and contributingto ensuring achievement of the Market’s fiscal and development targets.The incumbentwill support new development, providefinancial expertise, and work with the development and operations teams to ensure sound business judgment for the deployment of corporate capital.Incumbent will lead the market team’s review and recommendationregardingfranchise transfer opportunities.He/shewill also be responsible for sourcing and selecting qualified franchise partners who are capable of developing and executing a business opportunity to delivertheDBI brand promise to the consumer.

What You’ll Be Working On-

  • Generatesincome through non-recurring transactions annually and creates long-term, quality earnings in the form of annuity income
  • Createsshort-term income opportunities to ensure the Market’s fiscal year profit targets
  • Ensures effective deployment of corporate capital
  • Works with development and operations teams to successfully analyze, promote and sell corporate developed stores
  • Providesguidance to prospective franchisees in preparing a comprehensive Business Plan that willdemonstrate the franchisee candidate’s capacity to build and run great restaurants
  • Ensures business / financial terms of transfers are properly reviewed and documented and that all opportunities for operational improvements, additional development, short-term income and potential long-term annuity are realized
  • Assists in the management of our real estate portfolio, ensuring the protection and growth of our corporate rental annuity stream
  • Identifies, targetsand recruitsfranchise candidates within assigned marketsthrough local advertising, sales flyers/brochures, open houses, industry groups, direct mail, trade shows, etc.
  • Designsapproved franchise recruiting planto generate sufficient leads,and executesa business/recruitment plan to sell Franchise Agreements andSDA’sto new and/or existing franchisees as required by the applicable Strategic Growth Plan
  • Identifiesroadblocks to achieving annual targetsand takeeffective action to deliver agreed upon targets
  • Collaboratesand communicateswith colleagues maintaining consistency in the quality, integrity, and development of franchisees, SDAs, and quality standards; build “sales” best practices into core processes
  • Improvespersonal competencies supporting the achievement of Strategic Growth targets associatedwith Franchising. Through excellence of execution and adherence to established processes and procedures in attracting and signing new franchisees and grantingof SDAs,this role will positivelyimpact the image and equity ofDBI’s brandsthus enhancing their value to current and prospective franchisees and investors
  • Demonstratesknowledge and achievescompliance with all national/local statutes and regulations, and all DBI policies
  • Ensuresthat all legal, policy, regulatory and other franchising requirements are met and done so in a timely manner. Review and understand all legal documents, policies, procedures, regulations and manuals as required

What You’ll Need-

  • Minimum5 years of district level management, management of mergers and acquisition, or financial consulting witha preferable background in QSR
  • BS business, finance, accounting, or economics or related. MBA preferred
    Proven record of budget and / or other financial accomplishments
    Proven record of quality judgment and decisions in risk / return environment
  • Has obtained a CFE Certification or working towards the Certified Franchise Executive designation
  • Proven track record of sales results, with a minimum of 3 years successful experience in field sales
