  • Plans, designs and coordinates integration of machinery and equipment for the manufacturing campus.
  • Develops and writes equipment specifications for electrical and controls emphasis.
  • Writes operating programs using existing computer programs or creates "own" applying knowledge of programming languages and computers.
    • PLC programs
    • "SCADA" programs for interfacing the PLC processors to MS SQL databases.
  • Good communication skills to interact with the production associates and maintenance teams across the campus.
  • Ability to review existing programs to troubleshoot issues from the production teams or customer concerns.
  • Mentor and support the off-shift support teams to allow production processes to run.
  • Work overtime as necessary and required to protect customers

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated strong critical thinking and trouble shooting skills
  • Controls programming:
    • PLC programming languages (Rockwell SLC 500, Logix 5000, Siemens Step-7) ladder and box logics
    • HMI programming (Proface, Factory talk studio)
    • PC and Server systems
    • Series - Parallel Networks and communications
  • Development and managing of SCADA systems
    • Ignition software
    • MSSQL
  • Ability to mentor and train others on emphasis of electrical and controls
  • Excellent and effective communication skills. Ability to talk technically about the process and products to ensure the right information is communicated.
  • Able to work quickly in order to fix equipment, the product or adjust the process
  • Able to create Electrical drawings and cabinet designs for new machines
  • Ability to follow technical documentation

Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field. Non-degree candidates may be considered based on +7 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment as a Controls Engineer and willingness to complete education requirements.
