Position Summary

This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of a monthly sku level forecast for our top customers. In addition, the Forecast Analyst will monitor and analyze shipment history, customer sales, inventory levels and promotional activity to ensure forecasting accuracy. Key Result Areas include delivering an accurate sku level plan/forecast through team leadership, collaboration and change management.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain an accurate plan/forecast by monitoring customer shipments, sales seasonality and other information provided by cross functional team
  • Accountable for data entry into sales forecasting system (Oracle Demantra)
  • Create and monitor new item forecast as rollouts occur
  • Collaborate with commercial, finance and supply chain teams to ensure forecast incorporates promotional activity, inventory trends, etc.
  • Forecast and track new and discontinued items in order to minimize obsolete inventory
  • Provide statistical support for the S&OP process
  • Provide Decision Support Analysis for Customer and Marketing Teams.
  • Assist the sales and finance organization with the annual budgeting process
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
  • 2 years of forecasting experience
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

  • Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value added work

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize based on business strategies and objectives

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • 2+ years of CPG experience within Sales, Finance, Commercial Strategy or Supply Chain
  • Oracle Demantra experience preferred

  • Engagement includes: Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial Strategy and Marketing
