Role/Department Description:
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and is experienced at developing products for the web. The position will require specialization in developing web workflow tools, servicing users of FactSet's Legal portal community. Expertise in web technologies is required, as a significant responsibility will include analyzing current state Legal Portal and DMS, contribute towards legacy system feature delivery and identify areas for modernization (via packaged software and home grown) to meet the needs for scale.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to analyze business problems and efficiently design and develop software solutions to help solve those needs.
- Desire to learn about all aspects of the business.
- Close collaboration with the business as part of project planning and execution.
Required Skills:
- 4 - 7 years’ experience in web development.
- BS, B-Eng, B-Tech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS design.
- Strong Knowledge of RDBMS querying (T-SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with .Net Development (C#, ASP.Net).
- Experience with web application design and development (HTML, XML/XSL, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.Net C#, IIS, jQuery , AJAX, WCF)
- Experience with MVC pattern is a plus.
- Distributed architectures (client server, multi-tiered)
- Knowledge in SSAS technology is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the company.
- Experience working with and managing offshore teams is desirable.
- Project Management experience will be plus.
