Viasat's Antenna Systems business segment designs and manufactures antenna systems that lead several satellite communication markets. Worldwide installations include over 100 gateway systems for the most advanced satellite communication networks in the world. These gateways tie broadband satellite networks into high-speed fiber that forms the internet backbone. Other installations include thousands of limited motion antenna systems and over 550 full-motion antennas. In addition, Viasat is the leader in remote sensing antenna systems that process the imaging data for applications like Google Maps. The company's total of more than 100 of these systems is more than all other providers of these systems worldwide.

At our Atlanta, GA (Duluth) office we have indoor and outdoor test facilities to include dynamic over the air motion testing, planar near field ranges, a multi-system, multi-pad 1 mile boresite pattern range, and in a nearby county a 1500-foot calibrated gain and pattern range.
In this role you will work in the development of advanced ground and space antenna systems to advance the art of satellite and terrestrial communications. You will produce concepts and perform design, analysis, modeling, and testing of various types of antenna components and antenna systems. You will also have significant involvement with antenna components, waveguide arrays, waveguide structures, reflector antennas and feeds. You will take designs from the conceptual drawing board into the implementation of building and testing the finished product. If you have the flexibility to perform in a dynamic work environment and have a strong personal ownership of your work you will do well in this role.
