Responsibilities:
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) of components to ensure effective and efficient measurement of parts materials based on documented company specifications (i.e. drawing, spec, etc.)
- Conduct Receiving Inspection of selected components for visual and dimensional inspections of product and materials based on documented company specifications (i.e. drawing, spec, etc.)
- Update and maintain excel based data files and formal email communication of results
- Support Return Material Analysis (RMA) for the review and disposition products
- Support Customer Complaint / Stock Check Process, including containment actions and collaborate with internal and external customers and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Support rework/rebox process for identified products and materials and special projects
- Provide support for the Nonconforming Material/MRB Process, including physical transfer and systemic (Oracle) material transactions.
- Aid in the coaching and understanding of print reading
- Participate in problem solving for root cause evaluation and initiate containment actions
- Support Lean Culture and Initiatives, including participation in RIE and 9 steps
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications/Skills:
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in an inspection or quality role or equivalent experience
- Must have demonstrated proficiency to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
- Must have practical experience and understanding how to read and use measurement devices, including tape measure, calipers, etc.
- Must have mobile equipment certification(s), including Reach Truck, Order Selector/Cherry Picker, and/or Turret Truck, or the ability to successfully pass a forklift operator certification course within 30 days
- Must have strong working knowledge of computers, Oracle, WMS and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer). Practical knowledge and use of Wind-chill system preferred
- Support Lean Culture and Initiatives, including RIE and 9 steps
- Participates in departmental initiatives and projects, as needed.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work Overtime and weekends as needed
