I.S. Machine Operator

I.S. Machine Operator Operates the Individual Section machine and related forming equipment to produce quality glass containers. Assists with job and mould changes on machines. Operates adjusts and maintains I.S. machine to make quality ware. Observes and makes adjustments to stacker feeder delivery equipment ware transfer bottle conveyor and other forming hot end equipment. Weighs measures and visually checks hot end coating application and ware for defects and makes adjustments for corrections as necessary. Works to correct defects reported from the finishing department cold end Changes mould equipment to ensure good ware as needed. Observes machine and related forming hot end equipment to verify required machine functions and their timing makes adjustments or calls upkeep for assistance. Lubricants swabs mould equipment and delivery equipment as required. Completes operators report as directed which includes mould equipment replaced feeder setting breakdowns and etc. Communicates with Supervisors Upkeep man and Relief man on machine regarding malfunctions adjustments or possible problems. Maintains safety through good housekeeping and safe work methods. Performs other work as instructed by supervisor or managers. Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policiesprograms within Department responsibilities. This is an Hourly position in a union environment.
